ABOUT DR. JANIS GUTHY – YOUR CAMPBELL RIVER CHIROPRACTOR

Do you suffer from a herniated, protruded, or degenerative disc? How about acute or chronic back or neck pain? Do you suffer from whiplash due to a motor vehicle accident or a work injury? Perhaps you have elbow or wrist pain due to a repetitive stress injury.

Dr. Janis Guthy, a Doctor of Chiropractic with more than 42 years of experience, can help. And in the process, she wants to change the way you think about Chiropractors.

“Chiropractors treat more than just back strain, “she says. “The conditions we see range from back strain to headaches and sprained ankles to carpal tunnel syndrome, fibromyalgia, arthritis and more”. We also see a wide range of patients, from children to the elderly. She says that identifying and correcting minor imbalances early on can often prevent serious long-term conditions, including chronic pain.

Take your feet,” she says. “They’re the foundation of your body. If you’re walking improperly, it will eventually affect your ankles, knees, hips and back.” Custom-moulded foot orthotics, which Dr. Guthy can prescribe and make, can correct most gait problems contributing to other musculoskeletal pain.

If you have been in an auto accident or an injury arising from the work placebo do not need a medical referral if you attend Chiropractic Care or Registered Counselling within 12 weeks.

In addition to being a Doctor of Chiropractic, Dr. Guthy is a Certified Functional Work Capacity Evaluator Advanced with a Residency in Industrial Rehabilitation. She is also an American Board Certified Senior Disability Analyst and Diplomate. She is a Homeopathic Practitioner and a Distinguished Fellow of the British Institute of Homeopathy. She is also an American Board Certified Alternative Medical Practitioner. She is a member of the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College.
